Where England summer returns

The team awoke this morning to the most mild temperatures it felt like in over a week and wow, has it made a difference. Bob was straight out to the garden, tending the plants and digging out all the weeds. We could hear him cursing the new flowers he planted, which now appear very similar to the weeds that he’s trying to exterminate. Jean has stopped scowling at least and managed a half smile each time she passes people in the kitchen. She’s not offering any drinks to anyone but at least her face looks less like a demon. Cheryl is definitely expressing herself in the usual way, aware now that she won’t be the only one who’s getting a good sleep. Sounds like a weekend of rest and relaxation for this lot. And no complaints about the rain. Bob’s already mentioned a few times how much the grass needs it.
